40th Retreat Day Three- Part Two

Friday, November 25th
12.45pm - Off to Flinders we go. All dressed up and we know exactly where we are heading- the Op Shop (it's a good one we remember from last time we were here) and Tree (it's a good one too) and there's another shop we can't remember the name of.

It's a gorgeous drive through rolling hills with an ocean view as we chat, listen to some music and enjoy the wind in our hair, though it is a bit chilly today. We arrive and see lovely colourful sarongs billowing in the breeze.

We stroll past these, dum de dum and head to the 'oppy' that is C-L-O-S-E-D  on a Friday. 'CLOSED' I say hmmm. There's a cute basket left out front and on the shelf in the front window a cool glass jar with a green glass clip lid that would've been great in the bathroom! Not this time baby! Nevermind, lots to see.

Across the road is Plum. A french inspired shoppe with lovely ceramics, provincial homewares and cute cards of which I bought 2 to put in frames.

Next is Tree. This shop is dressed so beautifully. Everything is displayed according to colour so is very pleasing to the eye. Turquoise, pale pink, sky blue, lilac, lemon, naturals- it's really gorgeous. We wander for a while touching, smelling, looking and chatting to the lovely lady behind the counter who directs us to a market in Merricks. We had planned to go to a Studio Market after Flinders so are happy to pop another one in for the day until after more chatting we realise it's the same one!! Hee hee.

2.00pm - We were really hungry now and had not packed provisions and quite purposely so as the flyer for the market said 'Great Food' and I think you can count on a country market to have great food when it says it has 'great food'. I am actually excited by going to a market because of the 'great food'. TBC
